Kitchen Window Treatments

  • Instead of going for a heavy pull back swag valance, select a flap valance. This way you can control the amount of light coming in the kitchen easily, and tuck the curtain fabric using an upholstered cornice. This idea works great for kitchen  window treatments.
  • To allow natural light in your kitchen, go for pleated shades. Pleated shades allow good amount of light and also provide privacy. Use the shades of white and sky blue when going for pleated shades.
  • If you have a kitchen window fabric that can become stained or dirty, then select roller shades type of kitchen curtains. These are easy to use. One can roll them up and allow plenty of light in, or allow moderate light in by rolling the shades down. They are made of synthetic material, and so there are many designs and colors available in them for you to choose.
  • If you are looking for some attractive texture window treatments ideas, then consider treatments that are made of bamboo, rattan or other natural fibers. These are very trendy and also very resilient.
  • To soften the corners and straight lines in the kitchen, you can add curves in your kitchen windows. To do this arching a valance is a good idea. You can also go for a box pleated with a curved line or a curved cornice.
This was all about kitchen window treatments. So, remember the tips when selecting the window treatments, and select from the above ideas to create elegant looking kitchen window treatments.
